No Rogue Traders Here is a business-to-consumer (B2C) service designed to help individuals make more informed decisions when engaging with tradespeople and local businesses. As our services are focused primarily on supporting consumers, we also work collaboratively with organisations such as Trading Standards, Local Councils, and Age UK.
Our work operates across two distinct areas, reflecting the very different levels of risk involved.
The first relates to home improvement tradespeople who attend consumers’ homes to carry out work. Poor workmanship, unreasonable charging, or unresolved disputes in this area can have a significant impact on a household and, in some cases, leave people in serious difficulty. For this reason, home improvement tradespeople are subject to enhanced vetting and ongoing monitoring as part of our scheme.
The second area is our Live Services Directory, which includes other types of local businesses such as shops, hairdressers, restaurants, and other professional services. These businesses do not carry out work within consumers’ homes and therefore present a different level of risk. As a result, they operate under a separate listing model and are subject to a different vetting and monitoring process.
Our sole focus is to support consumers by improving transparency, reducing risk, and helping them make better-informed choices.
All home improvement tradespeople operating within our scheme are subject to a range of verification and due-diligence checks designed to protect consumers. This applies only to tradespeople providing home improvement services and does not apply to businesses listed solely within the Live Services Directory.
As part of our application and onboarding process, we carry out checks to confirm that tradespeople are:
In addition, Trading Standards approval forms part of the scheme. Trading Standards review relevant complaint history and other intelligence, and the final decision on whether a home improvement tradesperson is permitted to join or remain within the scheme rests with Trading Standards.
Participation within the scheme is monitored on an ongoing basis, and continued membership is dependent on maintaining the required standards.
Consumer protection is our priority. Our aim is to reduce risk and remove the need for consumers to take a leap of faith when arranging home improvement work.
Our Live Services Directory allows consumers to browse a range of local businesses offering services other than home improvement, such as shops, restaurants, hairdressers, and professional services.
As these businesses do not carry out work within consumers’ homes, they are listed separately and subject to a proportionate vetting and monitoring process.

No registration is required to browse the Live Services Directory.
To connect with a tradesperson for home improvement work, you will need to register with us. Registration can be completed online or over the phone and takes approximately one minute.
Once registered, you can:
When registering, you may choose to receive Voice Broadcast Alerts, which are short, recorded audio updates similar to a podcast, delivered directly to your mobile phone or landline. These alerts share offers and news relating to the No Rogue Traders Here scheme.
To make these easier to manage, you can save them by creating a contact on your mobile phone named “NRTH Voice Broadcasts” using the number 0800 233 5500.
When a call is received, declining the call will redirect it to voicemail, allowing you to listen at a time that suits you. This also ensures the message is saved for later review.

By applying to register with No Rogue Traders Here, You confirm that You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which will apply upon submission of your application.
1. Definitions
1.1 “The Application” shall mean the Application made by You for No Rogue Traders Here which You submit online to Us or over the phone.
1.2 “The Contact Telephone” shall mean the mobile or landline telephone of which You have provided the number to Us in the Application.
1.3 “The Information” shall mean such information, or documents as is provided by You to Us as requested or required in the Application or otherwise by Us.
1.4 “No Rogue Traders Here” means the system devised by Us to assist You in verifying or finding an approved Trader or Business.
1.5 “Loss” means losses, costs, damages, injuries, accidents or claims (whether direct or indirect) suffered by You in connection with your Application and/or the use by You or on your behalf of No Rogue Traders Here.
1.6 “Misconduct” includes failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions, attempting to obtain membership with the No Rogue Traders Here by submission of false or fraudulent information, misusing No Rogue Traders Here and misconduct in dealing with Our Staff or Traders or members of the public.
1.7 “Trader, Traders, Business, Businesses, Tradesmen, Approved Tradespeople, Approved Tradesperson and Sponsors” shall mean such commercial organisations or individuals whom We in Our discretion permit to use the No Rogue Traders Here system or Our facility for Voice Broadcast Alerts.
1.8 “We/Us” shall mean No Rogue Traders Here with company No: 07334384 Registered Office 162-164 High Street, Digbeth, Birmingham, B12 0LD
1.9 “You” shall mean the person who has made the Application for No Rogue Traders Here and therefore has accepted these Terms and Conditions accordingly.
2. Our Services
2.1 No Rogue Traders Here is an accessible directory of Tradespeople & Businesses who have taken up Membership of No Rogue Traders Here in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
2.2 Our service is a members-only service and You are required to provide your full name, including both your first and last name, address and telephone number and if using our online service, You will need to provide your email address. Only one account is permitted per household. No registration is required to access our Live Services Directory.
2.3 Before you may use our services to find home improvement tradespeople, you may be randomly selected to participate in a verification telephone call. Where selected, this call will normally take place within 30 minutes of registration and forms part of our verification process. Where an account is not randomly selected, you must still provide a valid first and last name, address, email address, and telephone number. Failure to provide this information will result in the account not being processed. Verification calls are made during office hours, Monday to Friday between 9 am and 4 pm.
2.4 When You submit a job request through our directory to seek the services of Tradespeople or Businesses for home improvement work, your request will be immediately transmitted to their mobile applications. Up to three (3) Tradespeople or Businesses may respond to your inquiry.
2.5 Once a Tradesperson or Business replies to your enquiry, We will supply You with their contact information. No Rogue Traders Here will also provide them with your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number and email address. Your contact information is only shared with Tradespeople or Businesses that have shown interest in your job post.
2.6 While using our online service, you are responsible for initiating contact with any responding tradespeople or businesses. However, tradespeople or businesses may contact you directly before you have the opportunity to do so.
2.7 We do not guarantee that a Tradesperson or Business will always be available to quote You.
2.8 We do not provide any warranty or guarantee regarding the quality, timing, integrity, responsibility, legality, or any other aspect of the materials or services offered or delivered by any Tradesperson or Business listed in our Directory or any Tradesperson or Business assisting members of the scheme.
2.9 We will not be party to any contract between You and any Tradesperson or Business. Accordingly, we shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your dealings with any Tradesperson or Business, including, but not limited to, any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental loss of any kind.
2.10 When We speak to You in a telephone call, all incoming and outgoing calls may be recorded.
2.11 No Rogue Traders Here has the right to update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be written here in the Terms and Conditions and it is, therefore, your responsibility to check the Terms and Conditions regularly for any changes.
3. Complaints
3.1 If you have a complaint about a tradesperson operating under our home improvement scheme, please refer to our Complaints Procedure available on our website. Complaints will be handled in accordance with that procedure. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights. www.noroguetradershere.com/complaints-procedure
Any complaint relating to a Business that you found through our Live Services Directory is not dealt with under this Complaints Procedure and must be raised directly with the Business concerned. Businesses listed within the Live Services Directory operate under a different vetting and monitoring framework. Further information about the Live Services Directory and how it operates is set out in our Customer Charters
4. Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013
4.1 Where You enter into a contract for services directly with a Tradesperson or Business found through the No Rogue Traders Here system, that contract is made solely between You and the relevant Tradesperson or Business.
4.2 Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers may have a right to cancel certain contracts for services within fourteen (14) calendar days beginning on the day after the contract is concluded.
4.3 Any cancellation rights, notice requirements, or exceptions to cancellation rights are the sole responsibility of the Tradesperson or Business providing the services.
4.4 No Rogue Traders Here is not responsible for advising on, administering, or enforcing cancellation rights between You and a Tradesperson or Business, and nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects Your statutory rights.
5. The Application
5.1 By submitting the Application to Us, You are deemed to accept these Terms and Conditions.
5.2 By submitting the Application to Us, You undertake to Us and assume contractual liability to Us for the accuracy of the Information contained in the Application and any Information supplied by You before You make the Application or subsequently.
5.3 The fact that You have submitted an Application to Us does not bind Us to accept your Application or to enter into any Contractual Obligations with You.
5.4 By submitting the Application to Us, and where You have actively opted to receive Voice Broadcast Alerts, You provide Your explicit consent to receive such alerts to the Contact Telephone. This consent may be withdrawn at any time in accordance with clauses 8 to 8.11 of this Agreement.
6. Protection of Data
6.1 No Rogue Traders Here processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
6.2 We act as a data controller in respect of personal data provided by You when registering and using the No Rogue Traders Here system.
6.3 Personal data processed by Us may include your name, address, contact details, and any information You choose to provide in connection with a job listing or enquiry.
6.4 Personal data is processed for purposes including verification, administration of the service, fraud prevention, customer support, scheme integrity, and communication relating to No Rogue Traders Here.
6.5 Where your personal data is shared with Tradespeople or Businesses, this is done solely for the purpose of enabling them to respond to your job request.
6.6 You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting info@noroguetradershere.com. Deletion of data may result in the termination of your account where continued processing is required for the operation of the service.
7. Fees for Membership
7.1 There is no charge to use our service.
8. Voice Broadcast Alerts
8.1 Where You choose to opt in to Voice Broadcast Alerts during registration, You agree to receive recorded voice messages from No Rogue Traders Here. Voice Broadcast Alerts will relate to our service and may include service updates, compliance information, scheme announcements, or other communications We reasonably consider relevant to your membership. Voice Broadcast Alerts will not contain threatening, offensive, or inappropriate material.
8.2 Voice Broadcast Alerts may from time to time be sponsored. We assume no responsibility for any products or services offered by any company sponsoring a Voice Broadcast Alert.
8.3 Voice Broadcast Alerts will be sent to the Contact Telephone and will originate from 0800 233 5500. We make no representations or guarantees as to the frequency with which Voice Broadcast Alerts will be sent.
8.4 Voice Broadcast Alerts will have a duration of between 30 and 120 seconds.
8.5 Voice Broadcast Alerts are handled, controlled, and broadcast by Us only and are used to communicate information relating to the operation of the No Rogue Traders Here service and, where applicable, sponsored content.
8.6 We do not charge You for Voice Broadcast Alerts and reserve the right, in Our discretion, to restrict, suspend, or withdraw this service at any time.
8.7 You may opt out of receiving Voice Broadcast Alerts at any time by calling 0800 233 5000 or by pressing 9 on your telephone keypad during a Voice Broadcast Alert. Upon opting out, Your number will be added to Our Do Not Call list. You acknowledge that opting out may impact Your ability to receive certain service-related communications.
8.8 It is not part of Our service to insure, and We make no warranty as to the value, quality, or suitability of any product or service referred to in any Voice Broadcast Alert.
8.9 Whilst reasonable efforts are made to verify statements and information submitted by sponsors, No Rogue Traders Here accepts no responsibility for any omissions, inaccuracies, or claims made within sponsored Voice Broadcast Alerts. If You choose to engage with any offer promoted through a Voice Broadcast Alert, You do so at Your own risk.
8.10 Any complaint relating to a product or service obtained through a Voice Broadcast Alert must be raised directly with the relevant third party and not with Us.
8.11 For convenience, You may save Voice Broadcast Alerts by creating a contact on Your mobile device named “NRTH Voice Broadcasts.” When a Voice Broadcast Alert is received, declining the call will redirect it to voicemail, allowing You to listen at a later time and retain a copy for reference.
9. Your Consent
9.1 By submitting the Application to Us, You consent to Tradespeople sharing their quotations with Us for the purposes of reviewing pricing, job scope, and job descriptions where necessary for scheme integrity or dispute resolution.
9.2 By submitting the Application to Us, You consent to Tradespeople capturing images or videos of works carried out at your property using their camera or mobile device for record-keeping, issue resolution, or evidencing completed works.
9.3 By submitting an Application to Us, You consent to any images or videos captured in connection with the Application being transferred to the relevant No Rogue Traders Here account. Such images or videos will not be shared with third parties or uploaded to social media without Your explicit written consent. Tradespeople are contractually prohibited from sharing or publishing any images or videos without Your permission. Any unauthorised sharing by a Tradesperson constitutes a personal data breach for which that Tradesperson alone is responsible. You must address such matters directly with the individual concerned, although We will provide reasonable support where appropriate. No Rogue Traders Here does not monitor or control how Tradespeople store or process images or videos outside of the No Rogue Traders Here system.
9.4 You have the right to request the deletion of any captured images or videos held within the No Rogue Traders Here system. You acknowledge that deletion of such material may affect the functionality, evidential value, or support features associated with your account.
9.5 You acknowledge that the Tradesperson You have chosen from the No Rogue Traders Here scheme may engage additional contractors, subcontractors, or licensed specialists where reasonably required to carry out the works, including regulated activities such as gas or electrical work. Any such engagement is managed by the Tradesperson You have chosen from the scheme. Your contract for the works remains solely with the Tradesperson You have chosen from the scheme. That Tradesperson remains responsible to You for the overall completion of the works, including any work carried out by contractors or specialists they engage. Any certificates, guarantees, or warranties issued by contractors or specialists relate only to compliance or workmanship and do not create a separate contract between You and those parties, unless You expressly agree otherwise in writing. If You choose to enter into a separate or direct contract with any other trader, that arrangement falls outside the scope of the No Rogue Traders Here scheme and We accept no responsibility in relation to that separate contract.

Some jobs, particularly larger or more complex projects, need more than one trade to be completed effectively. It is normal for the Tradesperson you choose from the scheme to bring in other trades or trusted specialists where needed.
You do not need to manage or coordinate these additional trades yourself. The work will be managed for you as part of the job.
Where specialist certificates are required, these will be provided as part of the job where applicable.
9.6 By submitting the Application to Us, You acknowledge that No Rogue Traders Here may repost, amend, reclassify, or reword a job listing where it is reasonably considered that doing so may improve visibility or generate a more suitable response from Tradespeople.
9.7 By submitting the Application to Us, You acknowledge that No Rogue Traders Here reserves the right to remove or archive a job listing after eight (8) days where no communication has taken place between You and a Tradesperson. You may repost the job listing at a later date should You wish to continue seeking assistance.
9.8 By submitting the Application to Us, You agree not to share, pass on, disclose, or recommend the names or contact details of any Tradesperson or Business obtained through the No Rogue Traders Here scheme to any third party. This restriction is intended to preserve the curated and monitored nature of the scheme, which supports effective oversight, complaint handling, and fair opportunity for participating tradespeople. Where others may benefit from the scheme, You should direct them to register or make their own enquiry through No Rogue Traders Here.
9.9 Any individual wishing to use a Tradesperson or Business listed on the No Rogue Traders Here scheme must first register with No Rogue Traders Here, either online or via our support line. This requirement is a fundamental part of the No Rogue Traders Here concept and ensures that all users are subject to the same verification, record-keeping, and support processes.
10. SuperCover
10.1 If You are dissatisfied with a home improvement job and You feel the Tradesperson is uncooperative about addressing your concerns, No Rogue Traders Here will view provided images of the job to determine if an inspection is necessary. To be eligible for SuperCover, You must be registered with No Rogue Traders Here and have directly booked the home improvement job in your online account or via our support line. Before You consider a Tradesperson, checking their current registration status is essential, as it will directly impact our capacity to support You if the Tradesperson is no longer registered on the scheme.
10.2 We reserve the right to appoint a Tradesperson from our list of approved Tradespeople to provide an unbiased opinion to aid our decision-making process. We will coordinate mediation to help address and resolve any concerns. The determination of whether the complaint is valid rests with Us and if upheld, the Tradesperson will be required to rectify the work; failure to comply will result in termination of their membership.
10.3 Upon receipt of a complaint, No Rogue Traders Here reserves the right to temporarily suspend the consumer’s membership pending resolution of the dispute.
10.4 SuperCover does not cover financial losses or situations where work or services are not completed as expected. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
11. Our Obligations
11.1 Upon receipt of appropriate and accurate Information from You We shall provide You with use of the No Rogue Traders Here system.
11.2 Subject as above, We will take reasonable care, in accordance with our obligations under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, to protect your Information and Data.
12. Your Obligations
12.1 You undertake to Us and warrant with Us so as to create a contractual liability to Us that all and any Information supplied by You to Us, whether in the Application or otherwise, is complete and accurate.
12.2 You acknowledge that the Contract between Us is one of utmost good faith; that is to say, if You consider that You have Information which might affect Our decision as to whether or not to accept the Application by You, You will provide that Information to Us forthwith that You become aware of it.
12.3 You also undertake and warrant with Us so as to create a contractual liability to Us that You will provide full details of any change in your address or other Information supplied by You to Us immediately.
12.4 Use of the Website Services is at your own risk. The Website Services are provided for general information purposes only. While We take reasonable care in providing the Website Services, We do not guarantee that they will always be available, uninterrupted, or free from errors. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
13. Advertising and Publicity Material
13.1 In Our discretion We may provide advertising or publicity material to You.
13.2 You acknowledge that any advertising or publicity material supplied to You may not be used by You or passed on to any third parties without Our consent.
14. Intellectual Property
14.1 The website and its contents and the intellectual property therein is in our ownership.
14.2 By accessing the website, You confirm that your use will be purely for individual, non-commercial use.
14.3 None of the content of the website can be copied or re-produced without our prior approval in writing.
15. Use of Information
15.1 The information contained within the Directory is provided for Your personal use only and must not be shared, published, or made available to any third party without Our prior written consent. Traders who are Members of the Directory have consented to the disclosure of their information to You on this basis only.
15.2 Where You provide information to Us, You consent to Us using and disclosing that information for the purposes of operating and administering the No Rogue Traders Here system, including disclosure to Traders who are Members of the Directory where relevant.
15.3 You acknowledge and agree that You will not use, copy, reproduce, or exploit the No Rogue Traders Here system, or any material, publicity, or information connected with it, without Our express written consent.
15.4 You acknowledge and agree that You will not pass on, publish, or otherwise make available to any third party the contact details of Traders who are Members of the Directory without Our express written consent.
16. Limitation and Exclusion of Liability
16.1 No Rogue Traders Here provides an online platform to assist consumers in locating Tradespeople or Businesses. We do not provide home improvement services and are not a party to any contract, agreement, or arrangement entered into between You and any Tradesperson or Business.
16.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, No Rogue Traders Here shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, claim, or expense arising out of or in connection with:
the acts, omissions, workmanship, advice, representations, or services of any Tradesperson or Business;
any contract, agreement, or dealings entered into between You and a Tradesperson or Business;
any failure by a Tradesperson or Business to comply with legal, regulatory, or professional obligations;
any delay, cancellation, non-performance, or defective performance of works or services.
16.3 To the fullest extent permitted by law, and excluding matters arising from the acts or omissions of Tradespeople or Businesses, our liability to You for any breach of these Terms and Conditions shall be limited to losses that are a direct and foreseeable result of that breach.
16.4 We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of enjoyment, or loss arising from third-party arrangements.
16.5 While we take reasonable steps to operate and maintain the Website Services, we do not guarantee that they will meet your requirements, that content will always be accurate or reliable, or that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free. We do not warrant that the website, servers, or communications will be free from viruses or other harmful components.
16.6 We shall not be liable for any loss or error arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control while You are using the No Rogue Traders Here system, including when interacting with a Tradesperson or Business.
16.7 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
17. Termination of service
17.1 Our Agreement starts when You register for a No Rogue Traders Here account. We will continue to provide the Services until You or We end this Agreement. You may terminate this Agreement at any time by directing Us to close your account, either through your online dashboard or by contacting Us on 0800 233 5000.
We reserve the right to suspend or restrict some or all of the Services, or to terminate this Agreement, where appropriate, including in the following circumstances:
• You have misused the Services or behaved abusively towards our staff.
• We have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud in connection with your Account.
• You have failed to provide information that We have reasonably requested.
• You are no longer eligible to use the Services, for example because you are no longer resident in the UK.
• Your Account appears to be inactive or you no longer appear to be using the Services.
• We are currently addressing a complaint relating to your Account.
17.2 You agree that No Rogue Traders Here may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account, or block your access to the website, where we reasonably believe this is necessary, including where You have breached these Terms or acted in a way that is inconsistent with their purpose. Where appropriate, such action may be taken immediately and without prior notice.
17.3 No Rogue Traders Here shall not be liable to You or any third party for any suspension, restriction, or termination of access to the website carried out in accordance with these Terms. Following termination, You must not attempt to access or use the website.
18. Entire Agreement
18.1 These Terms and Conditions, together with your completed Application and Our acceptance of it, constitute the entire agreement between You and Us.
18.2 You acknowledge that You have not relied on any statement, representation, or assurance made by Us or on Our behalf that is not expressly set out in this agreement.
19. Force Majeure
19.1 We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in providing the Services where such failure or delay arises from circumstances beyond Our reasonable control, including where those circumstances make it impossible or impracticable to maintain the No Rogue Traders Here system.
19.2 We shall also not be liable where legal or regulatory requirements prevent or restrict Our ability to provide the Services or to maintain your Membership.
20. Jurisdiction and Governing Law
20.1 These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
