The only problem with this method is that most directories do not check the eligibility of the traders before mentioning their names. Therefore, people are unable to know whether the trader is capable and honest. They just hope that they will not be cheated and get quality work.

However, more and more unscrupulous traders are cheating people. They do not deliver good quality work but still charge a lot of money. We believe that there should be a middleman who will ensure that both sides are happy and satisfied. In the past, people were mostly honest, and there was no need for a company like ours.

Now, the world has completely changed. Most people are looking for ways to earn quick money, and they are ready to scam people. Most people choose to trust no one, but when it comes to traders, they have to trust someone. They cannot do the work themselves, so they have to use the services of a trader. Therefore, we appoint traders only after they have passed our tests and requirements, which are mentioned below:

• Traders have to be passed by Trading Standards.
• They are checked for bankruptcy and credit worthiness.
• They are interviewed face to face.
• Their identity is checked by asking them to provide documents such as their driving license and passport.
• Their past records are also checked, such as previous companies, directorships.
• They adhere to our professional code of conduct.
• Their trader’s license and public liability insurances are checked annually.
• They should have trading experience of at least 12 months.

However, our tests and checking processes do not end here. We now see if they can walk the walk. After they are registered, we ensure that they work their best and do not cheat their customers. Traders have to give written quotations, and their work is monitored at all times. Our system records the work they do and our staff takes direct feedback from the customers to know whether the traders were up to the mark or not. We also ensure that the traders comply with all the trading laws.

We do not only check traders, but also consumers. Before we register consumers, we verify their details by calling them. This ensures that traders receive genuine consumers to help them grow their business. Traders who have registered with us know that their potential customers are authentic and genuine, due to which they use our services to help them grow their company.

We also take care of the promotion of our traders. We do everything we can to advertise our traders so that they can get proper exposure. We hand out leaflets and carry out presentations at community groups. We promote them through radio, newspapers, internet, and other forms of media. When a consumer posts about a job on our website, according to their requirements, we alert them though text messages and emails. Traders have the freedom to choose as many or as few leads as they like. They meet with the consumer face to face to discuss the particulars of the job.

Due to our strict checking, rogue traders do not register with us. They know that we will recognize their rogue practices in no time, and they will be refused membership. Therefore, our consumers do not have to worry whether our traders are dishonest.

On the other hand, principled traders will certainly register with us because we can provide them more and better business. As a result, we have a database of upright and principled traders, and consumers can choose one without any worries. Our company is the perfect solution for people who are tired of being cheated by traders. They can easily access our database and choose the trader they find the most appropriate. Since we only hire principled traders, people do not have to worry about the quality of the work and the price charged by traders. However, if they feel that they have been cheated, there is a complaints procedure in place. If anyone is not happy with any work carried out by a trader that was originally  booked through us then we would arrange a visit to come and inspect the work free of charge and report our findings back to Trading Standards.

We don’t just have an online service. In April 2011 we launched a helpline for consumers that don’t use the internet on the Ed Doolan show Radio WM and this is proving a great success. We receive many calls to our helpline from the elderly community, who are really putting their trust in us in providing them with honest trades who will not rip them of.

Consumers also have a chance to rate traders on the basis of their work and price. Hence, other people can easily choose a trader with the help of their ratings. This will also encourage traders to provide good service and be honest in charging people. Furthermore, we monitor the work done and the price charged by traders to ensure that they do not cheat anyone. This is another advantage for people if they use our services. Our sole purpose is to eradicate rogue traders. Most traders register with us to get an approval stamp. The approval stamp helps people know that the trader is effective and upright. It also helps traders attract customers.
